EVATANE® 42-60 is a random copolymer of Ethylene and Vinyl Acetate made by high-pressure radicalar polymerization process.
The high Vinyl Acetate content of EVATANE® 42-60 brings softness, flexibility, polarity and high solubility. EVATANE® 42-60 can be readily dissolved into various solvents and be used in inks or solvent-base adhesives formulations.

Characteristics of EVA plastic raw materials:
Agents for hot melt grade EVA, film grade EVA, shoe foaming grade EVA, ink grade EVA, coating grade EVA, solar film EVA, cable grade EVA, and more.
EVA has excellent low temperature resistance, with a lower thermal decomposition temperature of about 230 ℃. As the molecular weight increases, the softening point of EVA increases, and the processability and surface gloss of plastic parts decrease. However, the strength increases, and the impact toughness and environmental stress cracking resistance improve. EVA has slightly worse chemical and oil resistance compared to PE and PVC, and the changes become more obvious with the increase of vinyl acetate content.
EVA has improved its performance compared to PE, mainly in terms of elasticity, flexibility, glossiness, and breathability. In addition, its resistance to environmental stress cracking has been improved, which increases the compatibility of fillers. Adding more reinforcing fillers can be used to avoid or reduce the decrease in EVA's mechanical properties compared to PE. EVA can also be modified to obtain new applications, which can be mainly considered from two aspects: firstly, EVA can be used as the backbone of other monomer grafting; The second is to partially alcoholize EVA.
